Cannes Film Festival Fashion

It's no secret that the stars have been out at the 12 day event that is the Cannes Film Festival, which took place May 12-23 2010. I don't know about you but I just had to know who wore what and did they pull the look off. International Fashion Icon Victoria Beckham

Today I wanted to blog about one of my favorite celebrities (fashion wise), and that would be Mrs. Victoria Beckham! If you don't remember her as "Posh Spice" from the late 1990's group "The Spice Girls" you should recognize her as the international fashion ICON that she is! Victoria is always dressed FABULOUSLY, and she knows how to dress for her body type. Whatever the occasion whether it's taking a stroll with her boys, or on the red carpet I always love what she's wearing. Of course someone with as much fashion sense as "Posh" would eventually start their own clothing line and that's exactly what she did. Her line "dvb" started out with just eye wear, she has expressed her passion for sunglasses, the line now has denim, dresses, eye wear and a his and hers fragrance. The 2010 spring/summer collection uses sharp lines and splashes of bold color to create garments that are edgy and beautiful. I've also posted the some of Autumn/Winter 2010 collection and the link to the website! Now all she has to come out with is a line of shoes and I'll just die!!

Rima Fakih of Michigan wins Miss USA!!!!!

As a native "Detroiter" I am VERY pleased to announce Miss Michigan Rima Fakih has been crowned Miss USA 2010!!! Rima Fakih is a Lebanese-American born October 2, 1986 in Srifa of Southern Lebanon. Her family relocated from New York to Michigan in 2003. Rima was crowned Miss Michigan in 2009 and won the title of Miss USA May 16, 2010! Rima is not only beautiful but smart, as she is a graduate of University of Michigan and holds a degree in business management and economics, she also plans to attend law school in the future. Rima currently resides in Dearborn, MI. CONGRATULATIONS RIMA!!!!!

French fashion house Herve Leger was founded in 1985 by designer Herve Leroux. He is well known for creating the "bandage dress", and continues to design an array of breathtaking dresses. His work has been seen at Mercedes-Benz fashion week in New York, as well as on his many celeb fans such as Rihanna, and Lindsey Lohan. Herve Leger boutiques can be found in over 15 locations including New York, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Somerset Collection in Troy, MI.
